Infinitely Scalable. Incredibly Simple.
Surveillance Storage by 45Drives
The data produced by surveillance is increasing rapidly. New ways of recording are gaining prominence in the form of body cameras, drones, dash cams and a huge amount of traditional security cameras. 45Drives is here to help you get the densest, most affordable storage on the market today.
You shouldn’t be spending all your money on infrastructure. Open-source, open-platform, and fully supported – the Storinator won’t just store your data, it will save you money and headaches. Scale one drive at a time, or add servers into your system as needed while still functioning as a single unit. Save your budget, avoid vendor lock-in, and never run out of storage.
The world is changing and many policing organizations are adopting mandatory body-worn cameras (BWC’s). The cameras themselves are not very expensive, but storing and retaining all that data generated by BWCs certainly can be. With this requirement on the rise and the need for storing digital forensics – your IT team can’t afford to run out of storage.
To give you a better understanding of the Storinator's capabilities, below are examples of how many 4K cameras a Storinator can manage using maximum throughput in different resolutions.

We are an open-source company - meaning we can put any OS on your server. But we recommend Linux with Houston UI to all our post-production customers because when you connect to your PC it shows up as a single drive.
As noted above we are open-source therefore we can put any OS on your machine including: CentOS, debian, FreeBSD, Rockstor, Windows, unRAID and FreeNAS.
If you are editing in a Windows environment, it's as easy as searching for media inside the file explorer when importing. Likewise, it's just as easy to find media using the finder feature inside a Mac environment.
Nothing! Start using your new storage solution.
The only thing you need to know is that FreeNAS is configured with an error email system, so you only have to worry about problems if you receive one. This gives you the peace of mind knowing that if a problem does occur, the error email system will indicate the issue for you.
We have your back! If you ever have a problem, you can reach out to us through our website, online chat, email or give us a call - It's just that easy! We take care of the necessary headaches so you can concentrate on what you do best in the video production world.
