The electronics supply chain has been stressed the last few years, no question. The chip shortages that caused massive delays industry wide, and the Crypto Mining "craze" — both created a demand for storage servers and for hard drives.

At 45Drives, we ship your storage servers, designed and architected for your specific use case, in 5-7 business days. Does this sound like an empty promise, though?

In 2022, we managed to achieve delivery targets 98% of the time. This is due to diligent stocking all of our regular electronic components in house, and we manufacture our own chassis. We also have a dedicated assembly team who take care of the building, testing and packaging of every server that leaves our facility.

Unboxing Your Storinator

Once you receive your product from our shipping distributor, there are a few recommended steps to ensure your new server(s) can be deployed without hassle.

Racking Your Storinator

After your new 45Drives server is out of the box and ready to go, there is a recommended process for racking your system. Follow the steps outlined in the following article, to ensure sliding rails are added to the sides of the chassis properly. Once installed, placing your new server(s) into a storage rack is a breeze.

What's in the news this week? Well...

First up: Backblaze's latest drive stats on SSDs.

The SSD edition focuses on solid state drives (SSDs) as opposed to the traditional drive stats reports focusing on hard disk drives (HDDs) used to store customer data on their servers. The main takeaway when reading this article – overall failure rates are less than 1%.

With SSD prices in a rapid decline, the interest in all-flash storage systems are on the rise.
